Ten years on Watford High Street
Church Without Walls began in 2016. Every second Saturday since, for a few hours at a time, we have set up a gazebo on the High Street and made ourselves available to whoever walks past.
The Lord Jesus died for us, so we committed to stand for Him. Ten years on, we have ministered to hundreds of people, and have seen many healed, delivered, set free and baptised into Christ.
What Church Without Walls is
It is simply taking the church into the marketplace and ministering the love of God to everyday people. We believe in sharing the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ in a very practical way, so we preach the gospel, pray for the healing of the sick, and pray for the needs of people in a way that is real to them.
What happens on a Saturday
- We approach people on the street and ask if they need prayer.
- People come to us. Many walk up to the free healing gazebo themselves, asking for prayer or wanting to know more about Jesus Christ.
- We give out gospel tracts, Bibles and other Christian literature to those in need.
- Worship music, testimonies and preaching go out for all to hear — especially the message of repentance towards God and faith in Jesus Christ.
- We pray with people for whatever they bring: sickness, family, work, fear, anything.
We are the ones with a mandate from the King of kings to go into all the world and make disciples of all nations. And those nations are already on our High Streets.
