Prayer & Adoration – The Powerhouse of the Church
At Garston Community Church, prayer is not just an activity — it is the very powerhouse of the church. Each Sunday morning from 9:10am, we gather for a dedicated time of prayer and adoration of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, humbling ourselves in kneeling prayer before the Lord. This time is set apart to seek God's presence, intercede for others, and align our hearts with His will.
We believe that as the early Church continued steadfastly in prayer (Acts 2:42), so must we. Scripture commands us to “pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17) and to “devote ourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful” (Colossians 4:2). We come together in reverence, knowing that true power and breakthrough begin on our knees.
Areas We Regularly Pray For:
- The lost, that they would come to salvation and know Jesus Christ as Lord.
- Israel, that the Jewish people would come to recognise their Messiah in Jesus Christ.
- Local and national leaders, for wisdom, righteousness, and God’s guidance in government.
- The persecuted Church worldwide, for strength, protection, and boldness in their witness.
- Our local church community, that we would remain faithful and keep the Word of God in first place.
- Our pastors, elders, and ministers, that they would walk in integrity and lead with God’s wisdom.
This is a powerful time of unity and spiritual focus, open to all — whether you are new to prayer or have been walking with the Lord for years. Together, we lift our voices, trusting that God hears and answers the heartfelt prayers of His people. Bless the Lord
