The End from the Beginning
Living in God’s Timeline
As we begin the first Sunday of 2026, we can move forward with confidence in God, trusting Him to see us through this year. This was the heart of the final part in our thanksgiving service — thanking God in advance for 2026, before we have even lived it. The Word says: “Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things that are not yet done, Saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, And I will do all My pleasure.’” Isaiah 46:10] And again:
Rev 1:8 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.
These scriptures remind us that God already knows the road ahead.
He sees: the pitfalls, the stop signs, the times of waiting, the moments for us to park and wait, and the moments to go. God sees our entire life from beginning to end. When God opens our hearts and we come to Him, we step into the timeline He has already prepared for us. He is the God of perfect timing, and He desires that we walk into the plans, purposes, and seasons He has ordained — not too early, not too late, but right on time.
As we trust Him this year, let us rest in this truth: Our lives are safe in the hands of the Alpha and the Omega.

How Does the Lord Order Out Steps?###
The Word of God gives us the answer. “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, And He delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For the Lord upholds him with His hand.” Psalm 37:23–24] The short answer; The Lord leads, and we follow what He has already prepared for us.
A fuller answer is given in 1 Corinthians 2:9–12] “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him. But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit, Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.” Under the new covenant, we live by the ministry of the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit knows: God’s timeline – The end from the beginning – The path God has prepared for our lives. He is the only One present with us to guide us and to lead us. A simple analogy, The Holy Spirit works like an internal sat-navigation system, similar to Google Maps or Waze.
He knows: the road ahead, the pitfalls, the road closures, the stop signs, the times to park and wait, and the moments when the light turns green and it is time to go. We need to keep our eyes on how He works with us Life in the Spirit is learning to follow His guidance, step by step, with trust and obedience.
Our steps may feel small, but they are ordered by the Lord. As we walk with Him, we can rest in this truth: God is not guessing our future — He is guiding it.

Understanding To help us understand how the Lord works, we can picture life like a road journey — with the road ahead, we may encounter, wait times, go times, stop times, park and wait times. We will use the following scriptures to help understand – because the same Holy Spirit is at work in us today.
Wait Times
Acts 1. 4 And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; 5for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”]
Go Time
Acts 8:26 Now an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, “Arise and go toward the south along the road which goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.” This is desert. 27So he arose and went. And behold, a man of Ethiopia, a eunuch of great authority under Candace the queen of the Ethiopians, who had charge of all her treasury, and had come to Jerusalem to worship, 28was returning. And sitting in his chariot, he was reading Isaiah the prophet. 29Then the Spirit said to Philip, “Go near and overtake this chariot.”
Stop Times –
Everything is not Go in the Spirit, Holy Spirit forbid Paul from doing something, [Acts 16. 6 Now when they had gone through Phrygia and the region of Galatia, they were forbidden by the Holy Spirit to preach the word in Asia. 7After they had come to Mysia, they tried to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit did not permit them. 8So passing by Mysia, they came down to Troas. 9 And a vision appeared to Paul in the night.
A man of Macedonia stood and pleaded with him, saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.” 10Now after he had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go to Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called us to preach the gospel to them.] There is an important point made here.
Not everything where we may say God told me this or that is Him, we learn as we grow but must have the humility to stop and change direction and know when we are wrong. Humility is key.
Park & Wait Times
Gal1.15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb and called me through His grace, 16to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately confer with flesh and blood, 17nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia, and returned again to Damascus. 18Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and remained with him fifteen days.] For Paul it was a time of preparation, revelation, and shaping, not public platform ministry.
He was parked and waiting.
So, When God Declares the End from The Beginning
What does it mean for us. “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord” for us today it means that each of has a timeline and good works God has given us, and we need to live out that timeline to the fullest while we are here. It means the only One who can guide us in our timeline is the Holy Spirit.
How Can We Be Led
Romans 8.12 give this guidance [12Therefore, brethren, we are debtors—not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. 13For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 14For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 15For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” 16The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.] This verse simply says that the Sprit of God is so close to us and in us – that our relationship with Him causing us to be led by Him How Do We Do This We must firsts receive the Holy Spirt – and be filled with the Holy Spirit – to be led by God before we can do anything.
Jesus told His disciples the same thing [wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”]
How Do You Know
1. To be filled with the Holy Spirit is to deny the flesh and to practice walking in [ love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.] This is the fruits of the Holy Spirit living in you. This will cause a transformation on the inside; for all to see. 2.
Spend time with the Lord each day. Build a daily routine – a Holy habit – a foundation and structure in Christ from here the Holy Spirit will get stronger in you and from here you can be led more easily. 3. Read the word of God and do the word of God as much as able. 4. From here you will understand more how the Lord wants to order your steps 5.
Have patience, it all takes time. The account in the bible is over many years. Just keep going For me God’s timeline was never a pond. But a river that keeps me moving and growing and maturing in the things of God. I want to live the full life that Christ died to give me. Prayer for the Lord’s people for 2026 as led.
What will you accomplish.
