Just For Him · Sunday 15 March 2026

I want to share a conversation I had with the Father this week. I've been seeing a lot of people lately who say they're ex-Christians, saying things that aren't true — that God's a genie, all sorts of deception. I asked the Lord, "Why am I seeing so much of this now?" And the Holy Spirit asked me a question: "Where were you when you first came to Me?" I said, Lord, I was at a very low place. I was done. I'd done everything in my own strength. Not by might, not by power, but by His Spirit — I came because there was nowhere else to go. And I came because I wanted Him to do something for me — to deliver, to save, to fix.

Then He asked, "What happened along the way?" And as I reflected, I saw a host of things He had done from the day I came to Him in 2020 until now. I've moved from coming for what He can do for me, to coming just for who He is. I don't care if He answers the prayer or not. Like Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego said — He can save us from the fire, but even if He doesn't, we'll still praise Him. He's still God Almighty. That answered my question. People turn away because they stay at the place of coming to Him just for what He can do. It never transfers to coming just for who He is. The storms come heavy and thick, but we stay just for Him.

✠️ FROM THE WORD
O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

— Psalm 34:8 (KJV)
