Stand Firm

Beloved,
The Lord had many times when family members did not believe the truth of who He was or the message of the Gospel and would have dismissed Him as we read below
After these things Jesus walked in Galilee; for He did not want to walk in Judea, because the Jews sought to kill Him. Now the Jews’ Feast of Tabernacles was at hand. His brothers therefore said to Him, “Depart from here and go into Judea, that Your disciples also may see the works that You are doing.
For no one does anything in secret while he himself seeks to be known openly. If
You do these things, show Yourself to the world.” For even His brothers did not believe in Him.
Then Jesus said to them, “My time has not yet come, but your time is always ready.
The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me because I testify of it that its works are evil. You go up to this feast. I am not yet going up to this feast, for My time has not yet fully come.” When He had said these things to them, He remained in Galilee
— John 7-9
Stand Firm
God often calls us to be the first in our families to follow Him, to Hold the line.
That can be a lonely place, but it is also a sacred responsibility.
We are called to hold the line for the Lord and remain faithful in the work He has given us.
There will be times when family or friends do not understand, and may even try to pull us back into old ways or old lifestyles.
But our foundation must remain in Christ, not in the opinions or pressures around us.
Jesus Himself understood this. Even His own family did not always believe in Him at first.
Yet He did not move by pressure or expectation. He moved in obedience to the Father’s timing, will and calling.
In the same way, we are called to stand firm, even when others do not yet understand.
We are called to be a living example not by force, but by faithfulness and examples
Our lives become a living witness through the seasons, so that those closest to us may one day see the truth through our walk with God.
We don’t hold the line in our own strength, but by the power of the Holy Spirit .[Think Pentecost]
And we trust that God is able to work all things together for good, even in seasons of misunderstanding or resistance.
Families Saved
In time, even those closest to Jesus came to believe. James the Just and Jude once did not believe during His earthly ministry, yet later became key leaders in the early church.
Their lives remind us that God can transform hearts over time.
What begins in. misunderstanding can become a powerful testimony of grace.
We are therefore called to remain faithful in our homes and families as sons, daughters, parents, husbands, and wives trusting that God can use our steadfastness as a witness.
Some may not understand now, but by the grace of God, they may one day come to faith and be saved.
Full-Time Worker of God
God does not employ zero-hours workers, but offers a full employment covenant in Christ, with eternal benefits, grace for every season, and a reward that does not fade. May we all be about the Fathers business and not only our own.
May the Lord give us all a greater understanding of what His love in US all can achieve for the profit of all around us.
A change/impact in the life of someone else as we all follow the Christ.
Bless the Lord and may He continue to be graceful to us and encourage, strengthen and establish us for the work ahead.
Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work
— John 4:34
