Testimony
A few things to share this morning. I'm very thankful that my sister has joined us for worship. This week I had parents' evening. I'm a very Caribbean mum in every essence of the word — we're serious about books, because you have to prepare to be a doctor, a lawyer, an Indian chief, you know how it is. The teacher was going through my daughter's books and got to one and said, "Mummy, you're going to love this one." It was a picture she'd drawn of the nativity. The teacher said to me, "She is very big on sharing her faith." That was probably the best thing she could have told me. Sure, she can tell me about maths and English, but that was the highlight. Before coming here I was reflecting on the word overcome. There are times we feel overwhelmed, but the Bible tells us we are overcomers, more than conquerors. The enemy's tactic is to make us feel overwhelmed, but the winning is a process. As we were singing this morning that song — victory belongs to Jesus — the war is already won. There are many battles to fight, but we've already won.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose.

What did the Lord say to you while reading this — and what will you do about it before the week is out?
