I just want to say thank you, Lord. Four years ago, my wife and I wrote a to-do list — we said we were going to achieve this and that, all by our own powers, because we're smart people. Recently I got one of those achievements, and she was reading the whole list out. We've done half of it. As she read the other half I was just laughing. God showed me that we were failing to see the small details in our life that he has been blessing us with the whole time. I was just saying, "My God, you have been faithful, but as a home we've just been looking at our to-do list — oh, we haven't achieved this, we haven't achieved that." But so far, you have been blessing me more than I can imagine. That's why I'm filled with joy today, to see the Lord do marvellous things in our life each and every day. Lord, thank you for the battles unseen, and the ones I've seen — it's by your might, not by how intelligent or smart I am, not by anything I can overcome, but by your strength alone through Christ our Lord Jesus.

It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
