Rainbow I Am · Sunday 8 March 2026

The other day I was driving towards St. Albans and I saw this really beautiful, pronounced rainbow. I immediately thought of the promise God made after the flood — that the rainbow is the sign he will never destroy the earth that way again. As I went round the corner, the rainbow was behind me, and I started wondering why it was in that exact position and not one degree or one centimetre different. Scientists can explain refraction, but they can't really explain the why — the essence of it. The Lord showed me we can't understand the magnitude of God, only fragments of him, like he said to Job. And he reminded me of Moses at the burning bush, when God said, "I AM WHO I AM." The Egyptians had gods with names you could box in, but God was saying, you cannot confine me, you cannot define me. I had to worship the Lord right there in the car. And he reminded me of it again this week — my wife had to apply for indefinite leave to remain, and we paid extra for the one-day option instead of the six-month wait. The same week, her father passed away, and we needed to fly home. God knew long before we applied. He is everlasting. He is all-powerful. So don't think about the fleshly things like the extra money — just have faith that God works things out. And as Christians, the only position we must hold is the position of Christ. Spread the gospel in love; God will do the rest.

✠️ FROM THE WORD
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose.

— Romans 8:28 (KJV)

What did the Lord say to you while reading this — and what will you do about it before the week is out?
