A Body Restored And Bibles Given · Sunday 11 October 2026

I come up to give the Lord honour and glory. We have bodies that he heals and rejuvenates. About four months ago I started walking, and I got healthier. Two months ago I thought: I think I could go back to the gym - and I never thought I'd be physically fit again. I started on the treadmill doing two minutes, then three, then five. Last Friday morning I ran for fourteen minutes - there was sweat on my back I hadn't seen for a long, long time. The Lord restores the bodies he gave us, and we must put the effort in - spiritual effort, but physical effort too. One of the main reasons I do it is that I want to be healthy for as long as I can, so I can serve the Lord for as long as I can.

That same afternoon, after a swim, I got talking with a couple of ladies and had a wonderful conversation - one said she wants to come to this church.

Then on the outreach we had a wonderful time. Muslim ladies and men were receiving tracts; we spoke to a Muslim family and they received the gospel message and we gave them a Bible. With the money you gave for Bibles, we're able to put them in the hands of people who actually want to receive them - truly amazing. And a young man gave his life to the Lord. Hallelujah!

I want to give the glory to God. He is a restorer - he restores the souls of people out there, he has restored our souls, and he gives us good health if we come to him.

✠️ FROM THE WORD
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose.

— Romans 8:28 (KJV)

What did the Lord say to you while reading this — and what will you do about it before the week is out?
