Testimony
Last night, I watched a heavyweight boxing match between two fighters, both with very different backgrounds. One of them is a devout Christian, always giving thanks to God before and after his fights, and I really wanted him to win. The other fighter had been overlooked and avoided in the boxing world. During the fight, the Christian boxer dominated for ten rounds, but in the final round, the other fighter found unexpected strength and won by knockout.
What amazed me was what happened next. In front of a huge arena and millions watching, the winning boxer was asked where he got his strength. He simply said, 'Jesus Christ.' He explained it wasn’t him in the ring, but Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and God. He continued to give glory to God in the press conference and later in a podcast, saying he’s never missed a church service in twenty years and that God has been with him through terrible times. He believed his whole life was planned for that moment, to give God glory.
It’s incredible to see how God is working in the boxing world, with many top fighters now openly praising God. This public declaration of faith, especially in such a secular setting, really blew me away and reminded me how God can use anyone, anywhere, to bring Him glory.
