Testimony
Earlier this week, I was feeling really unwell and couldn’t figure out why. A friend suggested it might be worry, and I realised I was feeling anxious, even though I thought I didn’t struggle with anxiety anymore. I remembered the verse in Proverbs about anxiety in the heart making us feel unwell, and it made sense to me.
On Friday, before coming to worship, I prayed and reminded myself that God gives us a garment of praise for a spirit of heaviness. Being with other believers helped me apply the tools God has given us. I turned to the scriptures in Matthew and Philippians, where God tells us not to worry but to bring everything to Him in prayer. When I did that, I truly experienced peace in my heart and mind. The anxious thoughts may come back, but returning to God’s word and prayer always brings me peace. I want to encourage you that what God says is true—He really does give us peace when we come to Him.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
