Testimony
As today is Father's Day, the Lord put on my heart that it's very fitting to share a testimony about my husband and our marriage. God is really and truly amazing. Always keep your heart teachable in every relationship — friendship is still a relationship, and our relationship with God is the ultimate one. From there, you're able to see every other relationship around you rightly.
I really want to give God praise and thanks for the man my husband is — father, son, brother, friend, everything. In marriage you have to be intentional, because there are ups and there are downs and there are sideways. But one thing my husband always says whenever we have a disagreement is, "Babe, this helps us to grow." I couldn't understand it at first — I'd say, "Lord, speak to your child!" But the Lord would always bring it back to me: "How should you shine? You're in relationship with Me — how should you be?"
I thank God for the wise words He has given my husband to speak, ever since we met in 2020. It helps us to grow, because we take it back to the Lord, and He is the one who shines light on whatever the area is. Like a seed that's planted, everything goes in to help it grow and produce fruit. So on Father's Day — and every single day, in any relationship you are in — always ask, "Lord, how am I to grow?" Amen.
