Testimony
There's a lot of bad stuff going on in the news. Basically the root cause is Adam and Eve — well, even further back, because Satan rebelled against God, and because Adam and Eve disobeyed God and disregarded His instructions. Because we as a society — just like the Jewish nation — have disregarded God's "health and safety" rules.
If you read the Old Testament, when the Jewish nation worshipped idols and false gods and did bad stuff, they got invaded. They got carted off to Babylon. I won't tell you what happened to their children. But lots of bad stuff happened to them.
That's why there are bad things happening in society today. We're living in a broken world. But — we've got the power within us. We're saved.
Living a good life is not enough. It's a bit like when you're filling in something online: if you put a dot in the wrong place, it doesn't work.
I meet so many people who say, "Yeah, I live a good life, but I don't need to go to church. I don't need Jesus to forgive my sins." But they do. For those of you who have children: would you let one of your children die in somebody else's place? Well, that's what God did. That's what God the Father did.
I talk to Hindus, so I have to explain that God is a Creator God — because they worship all sorts of different gods.
