Testimony
This is quick — it's just about prayer, and how the Lord answers prayer. This morning, when I went for a walk with my dog — that's the time I take to pray and talk to the Lord — I wanted to talk to him about something, and I started thinking, "I don't know the right way to say this." And then I thought: when Adam and Eve were in the garden, God was right there with them. He is God Almighty, but he is also our Father — so talk to him the way you'd talk to a father. The Bible says, "Pray without ceasing" — just keep talking to him about everything.
On that note — someone kindly bought a watermelon for the church, and I brought it in this morning. On my way in it dropped and smashed, and it looked pretty unsightly. I gave some to the birds, but there was still some left and I thought, "How can I make this look good?" So I prayed, "Lord, I don't know how to make this look good — you're going to have to." I kept cutting it into pieces, and all of a sudden it changed. So when you see the watermelon out there, that's the Lord — make sure you eat it, because he's the one who made it look good, not me!
Just pray to him about anything and everything — like a child coming to a parent. He wants you to talk to him.
