What you do now can affect your future. A very long time ago I was late for work — someone was supposed to give me a lift — and I was foolish enough to drive when I was very tired. I had an accident, and that has affected me to this day.
On the positive side, a very long time ago I learned a musical instrument, and what I learned over fifty years ago I'm able to use now. So maybe God is telling you to do something — be obedient. There's a hymn that says, "Trust and obey, for there's no other way to be happy in Jesus." Maybe there's a friendship or a relationship that you know you should not be having. Please listen to God, because it's going to affect your future, either positively or negatively. Thank you.
